Join Parks & Recreation Staff at the Downtown Farmers' Market on August 25 from 4–8pm to share your feedback on future renovations at Hamilton Community Pool, a cherished gathering spot for Novato families.

Its Activity Pool features a beach-style entry with a water play structure that is nearing the end of its useful life, and we’re beginning a community engagement process to explore what comes next. We are in the initial stages of planning, and we want to hear from you!

🕰️ To accommodate everyone, we're offering TWO time slots—10 AM or 11:30 AM. No reservations are required, so simply pick the time that suits you best and witness the magic right before your eyes! 🌟✨ Each show is 30 minutes long.

Spring Trash to Treasures Flea Market

⁠The 2026 Trash to Treasures Spring Flea Market will return to the Margaret Todd Senior Center on Saturday, March 21, 2026 from 9am - 2pm!

Admission to this market is free! The market is held indoors, rain or shine. The snack bar will feature hot coffee and many more tasty eats available for purchase. ⁠Come shop for unique second-hand treasures.

We’re sad to share that the Fishing in the City event scheduled for Saturday, April 11, at Scottsdale Pond has been cancelled due to weather.

This was a difficult decision, but with gusty winds and rain forecasted this weekend, we cannot ensure safe conditions for this outdoor event, which includes pond access and casting lines for a safe fishing and learning experience. The safety of our participants and volunteers remains our top priority.

We truly appreciate your understanding. We hope to see you at a future Fishing in the City event for a day full of casting, catching, and community fun!

Novato Parks & Recreation and Novato First Responders invite members of our adaptive needs community, and their families, to join us for a day of fun with friends from a galaxy far, far away...🪐

Saturday, April 18th, 2026
12 PM - 2 PM

The 5th Annual Novato Spectrum Safety Event focuses on connecting our adaptive needs community to our Novato First Responders and other valuable resources in our City and County to continue to build strong relationships within our community. The event will feature out of this world activities geared specifically for participants with adaptive needs provided by local partner agencies who directly support the adaptive needs community.

Please note, this event has been specifically curated for individuals with physical or cognitive adaptive needs and will not include loud music, bright lights, or overly stimulating sensory activities. Service animals welcome, please leave pets at home.

Downtown Novato Community Farmers’ Market

The Downtown Novato Community Farmers' Market is held every Tuesday from May 5 through October 27, on Sherman Avenue between Grant and De Long Avenues. Hours are 4pm – 8pm from May through September and 4pm – 7pm in October. Join your friends and family in the heart of downtown to enjoy a diverse selection of fresh produce from local farmers, prepared and packaged foods to enjoy at the market or to go, local artisan booths and activities for kids. Come check out all the market has to offer, grab some dinner and shop downtown.

You can walk, bike, drive or take public transit — the choice is yours! The location on Sherman Avenue is just a train or bus ride away, conveniently located between the Novato Downtown SMART Station and the Redwood Boulevard & Grant Avenue Transit Station. Additionally, bike racks are available near the market on Sherman Avenue at Cain Lane and in the City Administrative Offices arking Lot.Learn more at novato.gov/farmersmarket.

El Mercado de Agricultores Comunitario del Centro de Novato se celebra todos los martes del 5 de mayo al 27 de octubre, en Sherman Avenue,as aenidas Grant y De Long. Join us on Tuesday, June 16 from 6PM – 8PM on the Civic Green at the Downtown Novato Farmers Market (901 Sherman Avenue) for a free Juneteenth celebration featuring live music from GRAMMY-nominated accordionist Andre Thierry!

Rooted in his French Kreole heritage and blending zydeco, funk, and R&B into a high-energy, soulful sound, Andre Thierry's Accordion Soul music reflects a deep sense of tradition, culture, and community — a powerful way to honor Juneteenth through celebration and connection.

Pack a blanket, shop the farmers market, and grab dinner while you enjoy an evening of live music next to City Hall. All are welcome!

Parking for the Hot Amphitheater Nights Concert Series is available at the Hamilton Community Center Parking Lot or the Old Hamilton Gym Parking Lot. Both lots are a short walk away from the venue.

Be part of the City of Novato's first-ever Día de los Muertos Car Ofrenda Display at our Día de los Muertos Celebration.

A car ofrenda transforms the trunk or rear of a vehicle into a traditional Día de los Muertos altar honoring the memory of loved ones. Participants are encouraged to decorate their displays with meaningful items such as photographs, marigolds, LED candles, papel picado, favorite foods, and other traditional ofrenda elements that celebrate life, remembrance, and cultural heritage.

Participation is FREE, but space is limited, and applications are required.

Novato Classic Gymnastics Meets

Holiday Crafts Faire

Novato Parks, Recreation and Community Services will be holding its 2026 Holiday Crafts Faire on Friday, December 4th, 6PM-9PM, and Saturday, December 5th 10AM-4PM at the Margaret Todd Senior Center located at 1560 Hill Road, Novato.

There will be over 50 artisans selling handmade crafts including jewelry, ceramics, specialty foods, wreaths, ornaments, bath and body products and more! There will be entertainment throughout the event and food will be available. It is recommended that shoppers bring cash as we cannot guarantee all vendors will be able to accept credit cards. Don’t miss this great opportunity to purchase unique holiday gifts! Admission is free to the public on both days.
