Novato Celebrates Pride Month 2024 / Novato celebra el Mes del Orgullo 2024
The City of Novato looks forward to celebrating and recognizing June as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer+ (LGBTQ+) Pride Month for the fourth year in a row!
We’re kicking off our month-long celebration with a Flag Raising Ceremony on Saturday, June 1 at 10am. Join us on the steps of Novato City Hall, 901 Sherman Avenue, as we hear from speakers including Mayor Mark Milberg, and raise the Pride flag in front of City Hall.
“As a city committed to fostering inclusivity, we look forward to hosting another successful Pride event for our community,” said City Manager Amy Cunningham. “Together we celebrate equality, diversity, and the unwavering spirit of acceptance that helps define Novato.”
In addition to the flag-raising ceremony, the Novato City Council will issue a proclamation at their June 11 meeting to officially recognize June 2024 as LGBTQ+ Pride Month in Novato. The proclamation recognizes Novato’s support of the rights, equality, and contributions of the LGBTQ+ community.
The Pride flag will also be flown on the flagpole at the Novato Police Department throughout the month of June.

Por cuarto año consecutivo, la Ciudad de Novato celebra y reconoce el mes de junio como el Mes del Orgullo Lésbico, Gay, Bisexual, Transexual y Queer+ (LGBTQ+).
Comenzamos nuestro mes de celebraciones con una ceremonia de izada de bandera el sábado 1 de junio a las 10 a. m. Únase a nosotros en las escaleras del Ayuntamiento de Novato, 901 Sherman Avenue, mientras escuchamos a los oradores, entre ellos el alcalde Mark Milberg, e izamos la bandera del Orgullo frente al Ayuntamiento.
"Como ciudad comprometida con el fomento de la inclusión, estamos deseando celebrar otro exitoso acto del Orgullo para nuestra comunidad", declaró la Directora Municipal Amy Cunningham. "Juntos celebramos la igualdad, la diversidad y el inquebrantable espíritu de aceptación que ayuda a definir Novato".
Además de la ceremonia de izado de la bandera, el Ayuntamiento de Novato emitirá una proclamación en su reunión del 11 de junio para reconocer oficialmente junio de 2024 como el Mes del Orgullo LGBTQ+ en Novato. La proclamación reconoce el apoyo de Novato a los derechos, la igualdad y las contribuciones de la comunidad LGBTQ+.
La bandera del Orgullo también ondeará en el mástil del Departamento de Policía de Novato durante todo el mes de junio.
