The City of Novato and Marin Sanitary Service have teamed up to launch a street sweeping mobile app. This easy-to-use tool allows residents and businesses to track their street sweeping schedules and receive timely reminders to move their vehicles on sweeping days.
As we enter the fall season, street sweeping plays a vital role in maintaining clean streets and keeping leaves and debris out of storm drains. Vehicles parked on the street on sweeping days can obstruct sweepers, limiting their ability to collect debris. Your help in moving parked vehicles ensures a more effective and efficient service throughout our community.
To find out your sweeping schedule, follow these simple steps:
- Download the Novato Street Sweeping MSS app in the app store;
- Enter your home or business address;
- Be sure to allow notifications in your device’s settings;
- Select “More” to set up notifications and choose your day and time — that’s it!
In October 2023, the Novato City Council approved an agreement with Marin Sanitary Service to provide street sweeping services to Novato. In addition to the app, residents can still view the sweeping map and/or call the sweeper hotline available at novato.org/streetsweeping.
