The City of Novato is pleased to announce the Redwood Bikeshare program has cruised into town — bringing a new form of active transportation, an easy connection to public transit and a fun, healthy way to get around. E-bikes are available to rent at multiple Downtown Novato locations and at all three Novato SMART Stations, with additional locations coming soon. This e-bikeshare program is a collaborative effort led by the Sonoma County Transportation Authority (SCTA) and the Transportation Authority of Marin (TAM), in partnership with Drop Mobility, serving communities throughout Marin and Sonoma counties.
Simply download the app, scan a bike and ride. Redwood Bikeshare has e-bike hubs, allowing riders to pick up and drop off bikes at designated locations. A map of current locations is available at redwoodbikeshare.com.
Redwood Bikeshare offers a range of pricing options, including equity memberships designed to ensure affordable access for all riders. Try Redwood Bikeshare for free using coupon code: RideRedwood (receive three 30-minute rides within 30 days of code redemption).
Additionally, Dropzones will be available at bike racks near the Downtown Novato Community Farmers’ Market on Sherman Avenue at Cain Lane and in the City Administrative Offices Parking Lot. When riding to the market, use coupon code: NovatoFarmers (receive two 30-minute rides, code is available through 10/28/25).
Please note: Each rider will be able to redeem each coupon code once.
