The City of Novato looks forward to celebrating and recognizing June as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer+ (LGBTQ+) Pride Month for the fourth year in a row!
We’re kicking off our month-long celebration with a Flag Raising Ceremony on Sunday, June 1 at 11am. Join us on the steps of Novato City Hall, 901 Sherman Avenue, as we hear from speakers including Councilmember Mark Milberg and raise the Pride flag in front of City Hall.
“Pride Month is a meaningful time to celebrate our LGBTQ+ community and reflect on the values that bring us together,” said City Manager Amy Cunningham. “In Novato, we are proud to stand for inclusivity, kindness, and the belief that every person deserves to feel seen, heard, and valued.”
In addition to the flag-raising ceremony, the Novato City Council will issue a proclamation at their June 10 meeting to officially recognize June 2025 as LGBTQ+ Pride Month in Novato. The proclamation recognizes Novato’s support of the rights, equality, and contributions of the LGBTQ+ community.
The Pride flag will also be flown on the flagpole at the Novato Police Department throughout the month of June.

Por cuarto año consecutivo, la Ciudad de Novato celebra y reconoce el mes de junio como el Mes del Orgullo Lésbico, Gay, Bisexual, Transexual y Queer+ (LGBTQ+).
Comenzamos nuestro mes de celebraciones con una ceremonia de izada de bandera el domingo 1 de junio a las 11 a. m. Únase a nosotros en las escaleras del Ayuntamiento de Novato, 901 Sherman Avenue, mientras escuchamos a los oradores, incluido el concejal Mark Milberg, e izamos la bandera del Orgullo frente al Ayuntamiento.

Además de la ceremonia de izado de la bandera, el Ayuntamiento de Novato emitirá una proclamación en su reunión del 10 de junio para reconocer oficialmente junio de 2025 como el Mes del Orgullo LGBTQ+ en Novato. La proclamación reconoce el apoyo de Novato a los derechos, la igualdad y las contribuciones de la comunidad LGBTQ+.
La bandera del Orgullo también ondeará en el mástil del Departamento de Policía de Novato durante todo el mes de junio.
