Saving energy is easier than you think, offering benefits for both household budgets and the environment. Join the City of Novato and North Marin Community Services for the Energy Efficiency & Electrification Fair, a free community event designed to help residents lower their energy bills, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and take advantage of valuable clean energy incentives.
This family-friendly event will be held on Saturday, May 31, from 11am to 2pm at Novato City Hall and Civic Green, located at 901 Sherman Avenue. The fair will feature a wide range of engaging, interactive, and educational activities, including:
- Electric vehicle and e-bike expo
- Live induction cooking demonstrations
- One-on-one conversations with energy experts and contractors
- Climate Solutions Kid’s Corner
- Information on rebates, incentives, and tax credits
Attendees can also enjoy free food (available for those who complete an event “passport”), giveaways, and the chance to win raffle prizes—while supplies last.
“Our goal is to educate the community about the many economic, environmental, and health benefits of using energy wisely and electrifying appliances and transportation,” said Gretchen Schubeck, Sustainability Coordinator. “Whether you're looking to lower your energy bill, improve indoor air quality, reduce pollution, or explore cleaner transportation options, this event provides the tools and information needed to make informed, sustainable decisions.”
This event is presented by the City of Novato’s Sustainability Division and North Marin Community Services, in partnership with the Marin County Sustainability Team, Marin Community Foundation, MCE, Ride & Drive Clean and the Transportation Authority of Marin.
