Citywide Crosswalk Enhancements & Traffic Management (CIP Project No. 22-005)

Description

This project will incorporate Complete Streets practices in the planning, design and operation of the City’s circulation network, providing pedestrian safety enhancements (where appropriate and feasible), such as bulb-outs, high-visibility signs and markings, pedestrian warning signals and other amenities in areas with high volumes of pedestrian traffic or safety concerns.

Location

Various locations throughout the city of Novato.

Benefit

New crosswalk enhancement and traffic calming measures at approximately 35 locations.

Schedule

Project construction completion is anticipated in the spring of 2024.

Cost

$ 1,200,000. Costs are based on the design and development fees, engineering estimate for the construction and construction management. Majority of the funding is from Transportation Authority of Marin (TAM) Measure AA.
