DeLong Avenue and Ignacio Boulevard Highway Interchanges Resurfacing (CIP 13-003)
Description
Primary focus of the work is to repave/repair the bridge deck and sidewalk approaches with appropriate conforms to enhance vehicular, pedestrian and bicyclist safety. Additional improvements include upgrading ADA facilities to current guidelines including ramps, pedestrian push buttons and audible pedestrian signals, replacing existing traffic signal detection and installing green colored pavement within marked bicycle lanes at the Ignacio Boulevard US-101 interchange.
Location
Approaches at the DeLong Avenue and Ignacio Boulevard US-101 interchanges. The Ignacio Blvd repaving will extend to the Alameda Del Prado intersection and along Enfrente Drive to the US-101 SB off-ramp.

Benefit
Vehicular, pedestrian and bicyclist traffic safety.
Schedule
Construction was completed the first week of December 2016. City Council will be asked to consider accepting the work as complete and authorizing the City Manager to sign the Notice of Completion at one of the January or February City Council meetings.
Cost
$983,000; including a $779,000 Federal Surface Transportation Program--local grant.
