Lamont Avenue Class 2 Bicycle Lanes (CIP #16-013)

Description

This project will widen the Lamont Avenue pavement from Reichert Avenue to the SMART tracks. This project also includes the addition of striping to create 1,800 LF of new Class 2 bike lanes connecting existing bike lanes west of Reichert to the new multi-use path proposed by SMART within the railway right-of-way, which is consistent with the adopted Novato Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan.

Location

On Lamont Avenue, from Reichert Avenue to the SMART railway right-of-way, adjacent to US 101.

Schedule

Construction for this project is anticipated to occur in 2019.

Cost

$386,000, which includes a $273,862 Transportation Fund for Clean Air Grant.
